Former Director of Civic Art, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, November 2011-January 2016
· Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing policy driven percent for art program for the largest municipality in the U.S., spanning 4,084 square miles and serving a population of 10 million.
· Reports to Board appointed Arts Commission, and coordinates with some 16 county departments for 25 communities annually, for projects ranging in size from $10,000 to $1 million, in various stages of development.
· Develop and articulate a broad vision for a program with an average of 50 projects, including conservation and restoration, community engagement, temporary and permanent art.

· Provided advocacy and leadership, developed and implemented political and strategic planning and relationship building for a cultural destination, ordinance driven public art program with Capital Improvement Art, Art in Private Development, temporary art and events, exhibitions, outreach/engagement, and collections care.
· Oversaw staff and workplan development and execution and established project management standards for annual project budget $11 million and annual operating budget $795,000.
· Curated projects included integrated, temporary, educational and public-private partnerships for more than $1 million in new innovative community destination events and artworks for Scottsdale Waterfront, City of Toronto Nuit Blanche, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Salt River Project canal management company.
· Reported to citizen Public Art Advisory Board for non-profit Scottsdale Cultural Council and to the City of Scottsdale Economic Vitality Department.
· Managed $5 million in public art commissions. Select artists commissioned: Carolyn Braaksma, Fausto Fernandez, Cliff Garten, Larry Kirkland, Donald Lipski, Dennis Oppenheim, Norie Sato, Paolo Soleri, D.A. Therrien.

· Organized and managed the expansion of work plan and staffing levels by double over five years.
· Managed $2 million in contracts for integrated, sculptural, temporary art and community events.
